Legend of Korra keychains for AN!
“Dried fruit isn’t bad…” Zxy muttered. He sighed as everyone lapsed into an exhausted, unpleasant silence. To think the rest of his life would be this way. He glanced over to Isabella as she slept, and then to Bane, who was also passed out like a small child. Well, that was cute, at least.
Aubrey looked Ali in the eye, serious for once in his life.
“I mean it. I don’t want to become one of those things. I’ll…do it for you, too, if I have to…”
Shifting his weight to the other leg uncomfortably, he started to head toward town.
“Let’s get this over with,” he said, hoping no traces of nervousness showed on his face or in his voice. It was odd, really. Jumping off rooftops, he was perfectly fine with. Staring down the cold barrel of a gun as someone threatened him didn’t scare him. It wasn’t until zombies were involved that he started to draw the line, thinking that maybe it just wasn’t worth the risk for once. Still, they needed water, and they weren’t going to find any anywhere else. Grimacing as they passed the occasional dead body, he crept on at the front, keeping a sharp eye out for any zombies.
Ali looked away with a frown, and for what may have seemed like a very long time, there was nothing but an icy silence. She hated the thought of him… well, no, anybody getting bitten.
“It’s not going to happen, but… okay.” She replied, her voice almost inaudible.
As they continued forth, she was relieved to end the conversation. It wasn’t as if she wanted to go into a zombie infested area.. but they didn’t have much of a choice. Besides, they could pick up some food there as well.
She did her best to quicken the pace, the sun would still be up for a few more hours, but it was best if they made good time.
